I had to throw these up.
I am Very Happy How it Turned out. Still needs a T1 and a Light (maybe some FDE grips/stock). I have an Emod, but want to try a CTR or UBR.

This Upper is Tight. I mean it. I had to dremel....cough!..cough!..an itsy bitsy off the back of the upper where the pin goes through because it would not seat in the Billet lower.
I basically just took off the coating on each side and she slips right in now. Fits like a glove, ZERO movement anywhere. Awsome! :)
I just have to Headspace tomorrow, install my SSA-E and I am ready to rock.

PRI Front Sight Question

Hi,

What was your reasoning for mounting the PRI Front Sight backwards? I am considering a couple of these for my next few builds.

I agree its not as good, however its also less then half the price. It also comes with a mount. I find it good enough for my use. Excellent bang for buck!
Oh, and nice setup, I love the long rail on short barrel look.

My $.02 worth - if you MUST go TROY for a free-float rail, go with the TRX Extreme modular rail. It's nice and does not need rial covers since you just don't install the modules where your hand goes. A nice slim grip.

The MRF rail used above is a 2-piece unit which, personally, I think was designed to be made cheap, not designed to be made well. For the money, I like all the YHM handguards better as they are at least a one-piece extrusion.

I went with the MRF - which is built like a brick and a High Quality one at that :) because it is 10", a TRX is only 9" or 11".
