Search function does not recognize ampersands as characters so searching for "M&P" leads to nothing, and searching for "thumb safety" results in too many 1911 threads so I had no luck
. Even tried "Smith thumb" and "Smith safety" but failed hard.yeyeye I tried it afterwards.

But I remember seeing a couple CGN owned M&Ps on this interwebz. Plus S&W lists them as current production, so can't help but to say check with sponsors and our canadian importer, whoever that maybe. I really just wanted to follow through with the memes

The reason I'm interested in the thumb safety is that my M&P and my 1911 are the 2 handguns I shoot most so I would like to sort of align the feel between the two regarding placement of the thumb. And though I have faith in the passive safeties of all modern firearms, I'm also a worry wart so I will never say no to extra safeties.. yes, I'm one of those people who actually like manual safeties! I just like having options... having it and not using it is better than wanting it but not having it for me.
I'm just seeing what's out there for now.. to be honest, I do not like bugging stores too much unless I have money available ready to buy because I'm super paranoid of being considered a tire kicker (did I mention I'm a worry wart?). Always like getting the thoughts of my fellow Gun Nutz first as well.

Same here. Wanstalls is a 5 minute drive for me but until I am ready with cash in hand, I'm not going to waste their time. Until then, I'll be lurking here.

you can always try something called a
