Hope it works out for you. My H&R in 22-250 has been nothing but a nightmare. The stock chipped from recoil after about 80 shots due to bad fitting to the receiver and the thing kept unlocking on firing until I filed the latch a bit. Now it only pops open every now and then. It really gets your attention too when ya light off a 22-250 and the darn thing lets go on ya!!
 
Bof... for the small amount i paid for my expectations werent that high, but first impressions so far are above my expectations so, i am satisfied... JP.

We love all of our H&R's... we have six Ultra Rifles, Two Sportster HMR's and two Tamer .410's... they have been great guns.
 
...And i like the Survivor concept, handle pretty good and the pistol grip is comfy, i will look for one in 308... JP.

I wonder what happens when someone drops a 45 colt out through the choke tube when he forgets to remove it ? Krrrrrr Banggggg ! And presto no barrel ?
It must have been tested at the factory.

Le Baron in Montreal and i was told that one is left at the Markham Baron, you cant shoot slug or buckshot tru the stabilizer choke, bb is the biggest allowed tru the choke... JP.
