Prob' not far from the truth, as these rifles (among others) got distributed through every Soviet held country, and prob' even more. And there are still huge stockpiles of old munitions, and arms all over the place in those countries.

Yeah it's hard to beat the laminated stock for looks and probably, toughness. I hope it comes with one. But the birch will be an improvement over the chu wood.
You're too kind re shooting. More than likely beginners luck but the M305 shoots alot better than I can. 4 shots into 2" at 100 is good enough for me!!

Did you guys get a confirmation email back? I sent an email on Christmas Day since I didn't notice until then. Man, to get my hands on a Russian SKS would be amazing.

Guess I can give Marlin a break...he's probably got 500 emails in his inbox.
