I cant decide !! 1911 / Glock17 / Jericho 941

Hi All,

OP I am in somewhat of the same boat, I have experience with 1911, S&W MP9, CZ75, and a Berreta 92fs, as well as some .22's I am now in a position to acquire my own firearm and was really looking at the Jericho, but one forearm that has caught my attention is the styer L9-A1 I have not been able to put either ion my hand and it is one of the reasons I am still "LOOKING" out of the guns I have been able to try I likes the trigger of the 1911, the fit of the Berreta I am hoping the Jericho or the Styer can do the trick for me as for the other guns the MP 9 was my least fav the CZ to me I did not get enough time with but the time I did get I felt the trigger was too light I like a trigger with a nice break were the cz had none it just fired :) anyway hope this helps and I hope someone with experience can chime in for the styer I have read the reviews and youtube vids can't seem to find anything wrong some PPL have camplained about the ejectore but that was on Gen2 M version the L version should be solid

The Steyr is a lemon that has all but disappeared. You are having a hard time finding one because no one wants them. Being that "rare" means they are far from easy to support with mags, parts and holsters. Stick to more popular makes/models and there are far better options than the Steyr.

Sad but true..isn't your avatar a Steyr logo...lol

I asked this question not long ago....got many of the same responses.
I purchased for my first the CZ SP-01 Shadow...great deal if you can get them as most are going for the more expensive Shadow 2 now.

I just went out and Purchased the the Jericho 941 all metal as well!!!!!! Any firearm that is carried by the Israeli military is going to be well made and reliable!
Some don't like the slide safety but doesn't matter to me....like the d-cocking mechanism and love the weight of it. Love the trigger on the CZ but the Jericho is damn good too.
The way I see it the Jericho will last a long time as well.......
Most 1911's are way over priced!!!!!!!!

Glock, since its a nice and simple platform to learn the basics. Plus learning how to shoot a polymer gun definitely helps with other firearms in the future.

I've got 2 Norinco clones of the 1911, as well as a GSG 1911 .22 conversion kit. I have nothing bad to say about any of them. I also have a Glock 17, but I have no experience with the Jerico, although I have heard they are great guns.

Hi Everyone ... I cant decide !! 1911 / Glock17 / Jericho 941 (All in 9mm)

I'm in the process of shopping for my 1st pistol and its now almost a month I'm just turning in circles looking at reviews, pricing, availability.. etc ..

I dont have a huge budget so must stay under 700-800ish..
I'm looking in the 9mm with possible conversion kit to 22lr (This is a big plus)
In everything I do as hobby I end up getting into modding / addons .. I hear the Glock is very good in after market .. what about the rest?

Regarding 1911 clones .. would available conversion fit Clones such as Norinco ? (I searched over and over and never got a clear answer)

Any additional advise is welcome :)

Thanks

Buy Glock to learn how to shoot, buy .22LR conversion kit for it. Then upgrade the stock sights and the trigger. Have fun.

Then buy S&W Performance Center 1911, PPC-9 or Sig Sauer X-5 Classic or Super Match, or Pardini GT9....

Whatever you do not buy Norinco POS.

Don't buy a lot of $500 handguns, instead, buy one or two match grade handguns and one or two cheap guns like Glock.
