Of my wife! Her first ATA trophy and at this year's 2024 Alberta Provincial Championships & Western Zone Shoot. She's never once made excuses about her scores, never complains about targets, staff, squad disruptions etc. She just goes out and tries her best and today it came together for her.
Sadly we missed the awards presentations as we were informed incorrectly there was no category trophies which seemed odd to me as category scores were being posted on the live board at the conclusion of the shoot and her name was there as high gun for Lady II so we packed up and drove home.
Shortly after arriving home I received a message to say she had captured Lady II category and there was a trophy for her. When I gave her the news her eyes were the size of an owls and her jaw dropped. She was very, very happy and I was over the top with her success! 🙂

Congrats to her!

For those of us not in the know, what does Lady II mean?
Lady 11 is over 55 years of age category, I shot on the same same squad with Deb and she shot very well considering she was shooting under penalty yardage at 23 yards as she didn't have enough registered targets in to shoot at her yardage of 19 yards, she was crushing them, well done my friend.

No dinner...I supplied her with a case of AA's for the shoot. That should be plenty with the price of ammo nowadays! :sneaky:

You are a classy gentleman indeed.

Very well done and congratulations on this accomplishment. I think we know now who’s shooting all the birds in the fall lol. Cheers
