I've read plenty of complaints about pistol-grip-only shotguns, relating to discomfort and lack of control when shooting them. Naturally, I had to try one...and those folks were right. PG shotguns may look cool, but their practical utility is close to zero, at least for me.
Then I tried one of these "raptor" grips, as illustrated in this thread. These things are great! Very easy to control, and much more comfortable to shoot than the old vertical pistol grips like the Pachmayr and others. Cool and useful...
Next step: getting a used wood stock for one of my shortie 870's and converting it into one of these. Cool, useful...and wood!
I like the birds head stocks. Still fine for up close protection, easy to transport on the quad, and the recoil is fine as the arms take it, not the wrist.
I got one of these
I bought it Because it looks Cool... All Tactical Looking with the all rails to put Flashlights and other Goodies On
I may Never Shot it... Like Most of My Firearms.. I Buy them Because they look Cool... After you have 60 or more Firearms you tend to use a handful of them more so then the others you Own If you Know what I Mean... Cheers
