I don't understand the "Glock Advantage"...

I would totally sign up if they issued me a 1966 GTO, a 1911, and didn't care if I had a ND every time I held a Glock!

What point was there to posting this video, other than to show if you train enough you can shoot anything well?

Should I post a video of Jerry Miculek shooting a 50 Barrett faster than most people can shoot their .22's?

The advantage in that video was the training put in to get to that level of skill, not the Glock.

Cause its a cool vídeo. And this thread has sucked for awhile lol. Im sure that guy could do the same with a 1911 if he chose too. But he didnt...
 
This is like questioning any company's tagline.

Magpul "Unfair advantage" even though many companies make the same or similar gear.

"Built Ford Tough" It's as tough as a Ford. Because it is a ford.

"You've always got time for Tim Horton's" My wife disagreed when she was in labour at 2 am and I wanted a coffee.

"There's always room for Jell-o" Ever seen a man eat jell-o till he puked? I have. Colourful.

The "GLOCK Advantage" is the same as those above. They elicit an emotional response based on nothing.

Incidentally, I drink both Glock and Magpul flavored koolaid.
 
I think the Glock advantage is price. For the price you get a reliable gun.
Like a Honda Civic it is many times purchased by new users, because it is familiar and affordable. Later like a civic it is customized. In the case of the civic its often for better perceived performance or aesthetics. for the glock usually to make it more user friendly. Please don't get me wrong, I love a stock civic, as I do a stock glock. Good engineering is just that.

I totally get the Glock thing.

Kinda ugly, with no romance. But they work.

I've shot thousands of rounds of ammo through Glocks over the years.

Just brought this one home today..... Glock Model 23 "compact" .40 S&W, nite sites, 107mm after market barrel makes it restricted only:

I vote we ban marketing, then moot questions like this won't be wasting intelligent answers upon deaf ears (blind eyes). If you don't get it, you never will, and I don't feel sorry for you.

For utility, you can't beat simplicity, anything more is a liability. The more actions one must make, the more opportunity to make a mistake. This goes for more than just guns....
