Finally got my Dillon RL550B up and running this week. 2500 rds of 9mm complete. After only about 15 minutes of set up time I was punching out the rounds. Not a single problem after 2500 rounds, no problems with the priming system, the powder measure stayed accurate and everything worked exactly right, right out of the box. No special cleaning, modifying or dicking around. What a great machine! Worth every penny. I've said it before and will say it again, save your money and buy quality once, this is experience speaking here guys.

I also played around with different machines over the last 40 years, mostly a single stage RCBS jr. press. It would take me a whole evening to crank out enough ammo for a couple of hours of shooting and I said to myself this is stupid.
I bought a Lee 1000 and used it for years, had a few squib loads and a close encounter with a revolver shooting said ammo. I then did my priming off press and set up a mirror to see (or try too) into the case before seating the bullet. I had it running somewhat OK and said to myself again lets upgrade to the load master.
Well things didn't improve much with the Load master as the priming was basically the same headaches all over again. I ran this contraption for about 4 years and finally last fall I decided that since I am getting remarried I better get anything I want before hand as I don't have a Minister of Finance yet to veto purchases. lol
I figured I would go with a 550 machine as I don't need the speed of the 650 as I don't do that much shooting anymore. I couldn't be happier. I now have a toolhead setup for each caliber that I need and to be honest I can now reload enough in one evening to do me a month.
Since the blessed day is coming up quick on me I need to upgrade to a star luber from my Lyman lube sizers for my pistol bullets.
You will not be disappointed drinking the blue kool aid other than why the hell I didn't do it before.

you could have not "done better".....I bought Dillion when everyone booed them....I still have my Dillion setup and am still using it for almost every caliber you can think of.....I would never buy anything else...you made the right choice....
Anyone looking for Dillon around Calgary TSE has a GREAT selection at exactly US pricing. Just make sure you know exactly what you want before shopping, complete with SKU numbers and product codes. Most of the staff are woefully under trained on the Dillon stuff. But at least its there!
I've got two Dillon RL550B's side by side, one set up for small primer and the other for larger primer. I load mainly .38spl and .44 magnum. I got the RL550B loader a while back and liked it so much I had to buy another one. I've never had a problem with either one, the quality is unsurpassed
The 550b is a great progressive press.. Welcome to the club... You will never regret your purchase... Now if you get a case feeder your reloading will be even faster.. My buddy has one and according to him they are fantastic.. although i still have to get one for mine..
