I finally found one!!! Heckler&Koch SL-7!!!

For some reason it's reminding me of an FN49. Congratulations on finding your dream gun.

Jeez, don't you know it is illegal in Kanada to take pictures of evil guns with the trigger lock removed.... or even think of it!!!

You're right let's play safe!:p

Steyrtac,

That sure is nice...thanks for sharing the further pics with us! "Play safe"...yer' funny."

I bet it shoots like a dream. Congratulations!

Gotta admit that it is cuter than my 770!
The comment about the '49 is closer to true than most know, both were discontinued because they were too well made (very heavy on maching and parts had to be reset in various machine tools during the process). Successors to both used way more stampings, sheet metal, plastiky....

No they're not discontinued, still made in Germany, HK hasn't exported them for many years, I wanted the little brother in .223, the SL6, still nice find.

Sl7

is the recoil pad and whiteline spacer original?

It does not look like any SL7 stock I saw in the net, the contour is different, the pad is a decelarator, I don't know where it comes from.

I found a new in wrap standard stock for the thing! It's a beautyful peice of wood! This stock is beefier and more comfortable IMO, I'll take some pictures later.

I read that this particular model was for the German reserve units, I'm not sure of the information source (Wikipedia...)

well, when you get tired of the fluted chamber mangling your brass, i will take the rifle off your hands....

also, is there any reason hk won't export the SL6 and SL7 since we can get the SL8 and whatever the 45 ACP gun is (UMP?)?

Sl7

I think that the markup on these rifles would be too small, as the production cost is prohibitive, they have to sell this series two times what they ask for the SL8/UMP series...
