I am pleased with how they look---HOWEVER-- I don't know if I will keep them---OR sell them.

I have two more of the same handguns that are still alive.
I have sold most of my WWII collection and it was not like I was going to go shooting with these guys.
I had two WWII German pistols on CGN for sale some time--nothing happened so I got them deactivated --sent them to Collector's Guild in N.B. and they sold quickly

I got well paid for these two deactivated pistols at Collector's Guild. $1,965 for both pistols with holsters.
I am not encouraging my two sons to get into guns.
They will have to deal with my U.S. Civil War collection when the time comes.

Since these fine pieces of engineering are now paperweights are they still classed as firearms or are they now recognized as somthing else such as non firing replicas ?

I thought replicas were prohibited ?

They are the same as a paperweight, not considered a weapon anymore. Just a bunch of decorative steel. This is why, if you want, you can buy a light machine gun without any permit and display it on your wall.

I have no idea?
When you pull back the hammer ---it stays cocked.
When you pull the trigger the hammer falls.
HOWEVER the cylinder does not rotate.
You can't get the cylinder open to insert a cartridge.
