My new norc commander arrived today so i took it apart to clean it up.No instuction manual but i have another 1911 so i used its manual. I am new to 1911 guns and its always a struggle but now im throwing in the towel.I have the gun back together but i cannot get the bushing on.What am i doing wrong.Any links to a video would be great.I tried a search but no luck. Thanks for any help.

Wait til you start adding accesories, like full length guide rods, etc. It really takes the "simple" out of "simple design". The design on my STI Ranger is a long way from the original 1911. Needless to say, it doesn't get cleaned as often as it should.

compared to a Glock, it's a nightmare to take apart and put back together - at least basic field-stripping. then again, my new Norc Com was SWIMMING in oil when i unpacked it yesterday, so that just made things even more messy.

Am I wrong in thinking there are a lot of Norincos in Canada? It seems like everyone has at least one. My nephew bought an 870 clone a few years ago, before I'd ever heard of Norinco. He swore by it, as a knockaround bush gun. I might have to try one.

The Norcs might not be the nicest looking pistol at the range, but mine keeps eating the rounds and spitting the lead exactly where I aim it while the Para's and STI's etc. are jamming/stovepiping/grumbling/complaining etc. etc.

Sure I would like a Kimber, but for the price of one Kimber, I can own two or three guns.

appears that way. i'm guessing there would be far less if the other handguns weren't priced so excessively high. feel free to blame our tax structure, which makes business charge more (so that they can earn a decent living after factoring out the income tax), and since you have less take-home (thanks once again to that income tax), EVERYTHING is expensive. basically, the gov't is screwing you over as many times as possible - and that's NOT including the fact that gunz-r-bad-m'kay?
