This was my 2nd yr with the gang I'm hunting with around the Kirkland lake area.All we had was a cow tag.We started hunting opening day and from then to wednsday there was about 5 bulls seens and a couple of the bulls were the same ones staying in the area.I went to a new watch friday morn which was our last day and about 5 minutes after I got there I heard a call and then about another 5 minutes later I heard another call alot closer but it was still dark.When light came a bull came out so I watched him for about 10 minutes,then another bull came out,so I watched both for 10 minutes,then another bull came out so I watched them for about another 10 minutes,then another bull came out,so I watched 4 bulls for about 45 minutes and this is killing me not having a bull tag 
.Then I can see another moose just inside the woods and when it came out it was a cow but for about another 15 minutes the bulls are all around her and can't get a shot off.When I can finally get a shot off, I take 2 and miss 
.They don't even pay attention that I shot.2 bulls started butting heads together and playing around.Then a trucker comes into the clear cut I'm in,he see's the moose and waits for about 10 minutes and then carries on but still not able to get a shot.Another trucker comes in and the moose move up the hill and out of site so I radio to the other guys that there's 4 bulls and a cow coming there way.About 2 minutes later another moose stands up that I never saw at all and starts walking.I took one shot and she stumbles so I took another shot and down she goes.You know the rest of the story from there

I don't know of many,if any,that can ever say that they sat and watched 5 moose for almost 2 hrs and then see a 6th moose.I watched a total of 6 moose for 2 hrs and got my first one.I was so nice to see that many moose at the same time playing around,butting heads and wanting to mount the cow.It was something very few moose hunters will ever be able to see and last me a lifetime even if I never see another moose again.I wish I had a camera when all this was going on so then I could say looky what I saw at one time in one morning,this was a kodac moment for sure.
This was'nt a master card hunt but was a master card priceless moment that will last me a lifetime
I also got me 7 grouse for the week as well !
And for the first time ever I wasn't using a Winchester model 88 or 100.I was using a new to me Browning Bar in 30.06.I guess I'll need another gun room now.
