I know you're thinking it looks like a prop from "008 - I Could Only Love Her Once". But I was in a hurry. With the photo I mean. Range report to follow.

Yeah, this is the new Papoose. Stainless and composite. I think the reciever is aluminium. I haven't got to know it super well yet. Trip the indoor range this weekend. On top is a Bushnell red dot.
 
How does you receiver scope groove look? I bought one last month but sent it back because the groove was badly machined. I'm waiting on a replacement..... I have a feeling you are going to let us know how she runs once you've had a chance to put some lead down range, congrats.

Seriously though I have been debating on whether or not to get one myself.....this model has been around a while and I was hoping Marlin would come out with one in blue :)

Mine is ok, but on the back of the receiver one side of the grooves goes farther back than the other. I saw it as a small aesthetic detail, I am not concerned at this point. I should be able to try it out this weekend.
 
carry case

It will float if it's in the little soft case it goes in when it's broken down. The case is not water tight or intended to be.
