I got lucky and received some free ammo

A friend of mine gave me some free ammo on Sunday. (Nice guy)

It's all 7.62x52mm. What I find interesting is the manufuacture of the stuff he provided. He gave me a whole pile of Radway Green ammo.It's Berdan primed, but no doubt suitable for my M305. He also set me up with a bit IVI too.

Coolest thing I received is a box of Lake City 7.62x51. I have heard that this stuff is pretty good. Can't wait to try it out.

"...7.62x52mm..." Typo? Radway Green is of Brit manufacture. It'll do nicely for your M305. Mind you, mixing brands will give you inconsistent groups and as it's surplus, don't expect great accuracy. Keep the IVI and LC brass for reloading. Even though you'll have to remove the primer crimp and reduce the starting load by 10%.

Sorry, typo. Should be x51.

I will definitely keep theIVI and LC for reloading. I currently keep all IVI, DA, and Hirtenberger. I sure don't mind removing crimps.

The Radway Green will go into my ammo cache for a rainy day or apocalypse. :wink:
