I finally got my backpacker.

Initial cleaning is good, gun functions all that.

Problem,

Canam didn't tell me it was shipped, and they shipped it to the wrong address. I don't get it, I was waiting for a while, sent an email inquiring what was taking so long, as I was told on the phone that it would be shipped in a few days. bang right away I get an email saying it was "processed", okay thats progress, but Canam said on this site that nothing mattered except "shipped" so, I continue waiting. OK today I send and email asking whats up. Bang, an email saying its completed, so I check the tracking number, its already here, has been for a week buts its waiting at the post office.

I had sent a shipping address, as it is easier for me to get it at work than to drive to the out-of-the-way post office with bad hours in a worse neighborhood. We only check our mail once a week, If I had known it was coming to my mailbox I would have been checking it everyday! I wasn't cause I was being shipped to my work, and I had received no communication stating otherwise. The woman at the Post Office said they would have sent it back in two days. I don't get this style of customer service.

Canam needs better communication.

I can't wait to try the gun, seems like a compact little bugger that should be a blast.

thats not the first thread complaining about the customer service of a sponsor, I guess it's going to be locked just like others, even if you're stating the facts

Anyhow thanks for the feedback

LMFAO - be patient, it's a great little gun

I put an order through on January 2nd for an in-stock item... they processed the order today. I've had so many excellent experiences with them, but this just ended any potential future ones. They may be overwhelmed, but 60 days to bill me after an order? No courtesy call or email? That's a bit much for me.

Oh, and IBTL ...nazis

Hmmm. How did he have your other address? Not faulting you, but wondering how he figured out to send it to one that you don't use.

Sounds like if they had your home address on file they were backed up and working to send stuff ASAP and just used the one on file.

Home address was my billing address. That may be the case about the PAL address, but I would have appreciated being told this. I specifically had a different shipping address for a reason. I have had other guns shipped to my work address, but none from Canam.

My problem isn't the doorstep thing, thank christ, its with the god damn post office they send it to. Its out of my way, with really s**tty hours, and half the customers look like they are going to jump you in the parking lot for change to buy smokes. That is nuts that CP guys leave signature required packages on peoples doorsteps.

I wonder if a CP employee left a gun on a doorstep, it got stolen, then used in a crime say murder, and say they had their RPAL or PAL, would they lose it? Would they lose their job? I would hope so its tampering with mail! Its irresponsible.

Once I ordered a gun in the mail and was actually home when the CP guy dropped it off, I met him at the door, he handed it to me, I asked where to sign, he said I didn't have to. In big letters on the package it said "SIGNATURE REQUIRED". I pointed this out, he was like "well I you really insist" he acted all pissed that I was forcing hime to do this. I pointed out that it was required for a FIREARM, he looked freaked out, all wide-eyed and jabbering. ha
