i got my Marlin 1895 GBL back today

I bought a brand new marlin and before i shot it it went to my gunsmith to get work done to it, heres a list of what was done:

-Happy Trigger kit installed
-Bearproof ejector installed
-stainless follower installed
-full action polish job
-lever bevelled and reblued

How do you like it? I have/had a Marlin 1895GS that I've given to my son in the B.C. central interior. Never was overly fond of the straight stock design. To replace it, I recently acquired one the same as what you have, and a smaller 'relative' to keep it company.



Waiting 'til I get some other 'details' out of the way and hoping by then the 'wet coast' weather will ease off a little by then.

We have a couple of other items the same. Poor photo so I don't know if you can easily see them but we have the same powder scale/dispenser and case trimmer.

Can to feel a difference in the "smoothness" compared to before the internals were polished?

Just outta curiosity OP, how much did the total thing cost? That's if you don't mind me asking of course. I've been thinking of doing pretty much the same thing (and getting the safety taken out) but maybe get it arma-coated as to so it'd be interesting to know how much yours ran ya so i can save accordingly.

The Happy Trigger made my trigger pull so light and crisp that I warn guys shooting it for the first time.

IMHO it is a must do mod on an 1895.
