Right is right Wrong is wrong.

Having the pseudo-official IPSC web forum run by an single individual (no matter who that person is) is patently wrong. That much should be plain to anyone.

Having that same person have all of the power with ZERO recourse for anyone when wronged by said individual is a travesty.

Oh and for the record I have never been given a time out. But Vince does like to lock my threads when I point out the obvious errors in the system.
 
I still read the GV everyday, if for no other reason than the entertainment, but I rarely post. I got tired of being slapped down and never getting the last word.
 
If you want to get his dander up, try pointing out how stupid the refinish rules are for Production. Like I am going to send my Shadow back to the Czech Republic for re-finishing? Pinto obviously hasn;t noticed what the UN has done recently as to how easy it is to ship a gun across borders for gunsmithing work. That and the rule regarding spring replacements.:rolleyes:

There are a few layers.

1) Mods are forbidden from using their mod powers in threads that they are actively participating in. Thus if you and I got "into it" I could not edit your posts or nuke them or lock that thread. I would have to get a third party to do so.

2) If I were to lock a thread and you were to disagree with it you can bring it to the attention of another mod. That mod could then bring it to the attention of the rest of the group and a determination made.

3) bannishiments require the support of at least 5 mods to be achileved with the exception the Auto ban feature.

4) if you are banned and feel that it was somehow wrong (even with all the above) you can go to a mod to have them plead your case. I have done so for a few individuals over the years.



At the GV the ONLY judge is VP which is as I said fine as it is his own personal site.
Likewise GT could make a similar move here (he would not) but he could.

However that is as they say apples and oranges......

GV while VPs personal site is also the defacto OFFICIAL site of an international body (IPSC) that makes it totally different and patently a wrong approach.

It appears that my name has been mentioned in a now locked topic that I did not even post in and feel I should be given a chance at a rebuttal.

I never suggested that we lynch you and I actually spoke out in your difference saying that you are entitled to your opinion. I have tried to keep all my posts respectful and I do appreciate all the hard work that you do for IPSC. I have tried to say away from personal attacks unlike some.

However, Yes I do find your comment about suicide bombers very inflammatory. Would you call these young Lady's Suicide bombers?

If I was elected to the executive and then made the comment that we should stop anyone under the age of 21 from shooting IPSC so people do not compare use to the kids that shoot up schools in the USA. You and probably every other member of IPSC would be after me.
