Strangeday you bought a milsurp??? Now I'm impressed ..very nice rifle. Hitzy is right. If they are properly sighted,they are very accurate.

If the sights are zeroed you are laughing. If the windage is off it can be tough to correct.

I have a MAS 36, it shoots about four feet to the left at 100 yards. Apparently you have to replace the rear peep sight to adjust the windage\elevation. SO mines a wallhanger till I get the part..

Handles and shoots nice though..
 
Nice score, I walked past one two years ago and have been kicking myself ever since:( . They have the reputation of being good shooters if the sights line up well, as stated above. Lucky bugger!! Have fun!
 
Mine shoots to point of aim and is fun, but mine's not a refurb like yours - mine's issued, non-refurb and shows lots of wear everywhere except the bore.

Also, yours is a 36-51 with grenade launcher, while mine's a plain 36.
 
Its an LG and should be marked thus. I have recipes for reloading but the latest FNM is reliable the early stuff was too light a charge with too heavy a bullet.

But if you get decent strippers the rapid with that bolt is very easy. I find that you learn a different way to manipulate the bolt and it is very effective!
