so i get this cooey 22 from a old friend thats bin in his damp basement for 20 years. its a bit rusty and need the stoke redone. i cleaned her up and figure a great gopher gun. it works good but i cant hit squat with open sights. so off to canadian tire to buy a scope, find a tasco for 15 bucks, lol well that thing changes everytime a shot is taken. so i mite as well of spent that 15 bucks in the casino. should have known though that you accually do get what you pay for it.

Bust the glass outta that thing, chew up a big spit ball and voila, hours of targeting fun

Look into the Bushnell Banner's, lot's of people here recommended it to me when I was asking about a good scope for a .22

Take that scope, set it out at 50 yards, and shoot it using your new scope that's bigger than a pencil diameter.

the bushnell 22 specific scopes arnt half bad for the $50ish they charge and for an old coeey they will work decently

Wait, wait, wait,... an old cooey that has been in a damp basement, before you spend another cent on scopes... how's the bore?

I had an old .22 that had a rusty bore, cleaned it all out but I get groups of about 3" at 10 yds!!!. It has since been welded up and is going to be a wall hanger!

i have two older than dirt cooeys that probably leaned against a wall at the Last Supper, and they are sharp shooters with iron sights. they look like crap but the targets more than make up for the old junkers.

I picked up an old cooey years ago. The barrel was plugged with
rust at the muzzle. After cutting off 4" from the muzzle end and
filing it flat the darned thing shoots pretty good. Luckely the rust
was only in the end and the rest of the barrel was ok.

3/4 inch scops are good for NOTHING. Not even airguns. If it isn't a 1" tube don't even bother, might as well make one out of a cardboard papper towel tube.
