I guess I need a 7x57.... Suggestions requested.

Love my Husqvarna Lightweight Model 4100 7x57 for a "Packin' around" rifle.

Any vintage Husqvarna in my opinion would be a good choice.

T.E.C. Trade EX has double set trigger for M98 Mauser for a realy good price under $60
Just in case this turns into a project

I have a Remington 700 "Classic" in 7x57, and it is a beautiful rifle. Very good shooter, as well.
The 7x57 has a true charm that cannot be denied. Effective on big game, too. [8 moose with 8 shots fired]
Dave.

I may just have to build one if I can't find what I want - or sell the brass so it's out of my mind.

"...or sell the brass"???

Any course of action other than getting a new-to-you rifle will result in your Gun Nut card being revoked.

"Sell the brass", indeed! :)

If I ever came across one for sale I'd be tempted too.

Josh with your skill you would have no problem converting the military style floorplate to a hinged floorplate. I beleive that you can get the Montana Rifle Company in 7x57.
