I guess John sold all his SKSs

So , to put people on the spot. - I would like to buy Chinese non issued SKS (original wood, no fancy stocks) for 150$ or less. Could some one point me to a store or a website that has them IN STOCK ??

Its not unusual to enquire- we do it with cars, houses, t.v's etc. It seems as though some cgn'ers pay first without research, they must get scammed a lot.

Very wishful thinking. You'd be hard pressed to find a store that has them in period, let alone for under $150

Wolverine? Unless they sold out too. At the big gun show last december they were selling them in 3 packs for about that much each I think...
 
Gosh, I wonder if we all pray and hope and wish....maybe "suddenly" some will be found hidden in a watehouse in outer Mongolia....of course, they'll be closer to $600...like the "sniper" Mosins!

But, we'll gobble them up and say "thanks"!

Erm, well, I won't...but....right now there are folks genuinely experiencing an almost uncontrollable urge to acquire something, now that it seems unavailable. This feeling is perfectly normal, it explains why I have a a two car garage packed full of vintage keyboards *sigh"....in fact, this insatiability, or GAS (gear/gun acquisition syndrome) has been the driving force of modern economies.

I remember cabbage patch kids selling for $1000...PRE Internet!

you're kidding right? at their lowest was 189 when there we're tons, you expect ppl taking a loss on them? Go buy a Russian one.

What rock are you living under? :) Canadian Tire sells guns again! Leila and Kenaston locations, lots more ammo and other goodies than they've carried in previous years to boot. The Leila store has more stock, lots of surplus including cases of ammo! Get some!

No firearms in at CT Ottawa or Gatineau stores ever--at lest that I've seen. There's barely even ammunition. At our local CT, I picked up the whole 'new shipment' of 9mm 115gr...two boxes of 50. And the staff looked at me like I was up to no good. No, more accurately, they were palpably afraid. They just wanted the transaction to be over. [shrug]

So, a lot of us are not living under rocks, just in different parts of the country.

Agreed.. I'm surprised you found any 9MM ammo at all..
 
Can't understand it myself, really. The Chinese made the most homely utilitarian SKS out there. It's a shooter - not something to hang on the wall and admire.

My only concern vis unissued vs used would be whether or not the bugger before me cleaned the thing.
 
HAha its true , at the CT in Ottawa they are blowing the dust off the doors when they unlock it to get your ammo... and seem almost shocked someone can in to buy some
