I had a good season.PIX

My first buck...Week #1. A nice 8pt. I shot it @ about 60yds with the dogs in tow. The doe came out first, but I let her go by, and not long after as the dogs got closer the buck came out. I fired two shots (two hits) with my BAR in 280, and I was lucky enough to ancor this deer.

Buck #2. Last chase of the season on the last day the dogs brought me out this 15pt. I shot it @ about 40-50 yards in nice clean hardwoods with one shot from my Ruger 44 auto. A good end to an already great hunting season.

Recovered Win 240gr 44 bullet from the far shoulder.

Congrats! Great looking buck ya got there! I was not so lucky. Had one step out within 20 yards of me, tried to fire......go no go blamo.....deer runs away. Safety was off, but something was wrong with the gun. Oh well, we ended up with 2 deer between the 4 of us, and still have some serious bow hunting ahead! Congrats again that is a beauty! Oh and don't think your gonna sit here all friggin' day lookin' at those pics either mister! Get out there and get some on the BBQ! Cheers!

A guy who scores @ the local bow club is the one who said it easily has 15 scorable points. All the points that I counted are scorable, the smallest counted being over an inch, and a half in length.I guess if it scorable then it is indeed a point. Or not?

Start scoring your deer antlers by figuring out how many points you actually have. A point is considered a projection of at least one inch with the length exceeding the width at one inch or more of length.
