It's long rifle and it looks longer because of the crimp.........I have about 50-60 rounds of that older stuff.

Ive used many rounds of remington and winchester .22 birdshot, and the rem stuff is weak compared to the winchester shot. Anyone know how the cci stuff shoots?

it's good stuff for shooting very little things like moths and mice. 50% of the shot will go through a full popcan at about 15 feet the other half get's stuck inside.

the bolt is now in my scrap metal bin and it's going back to a gun smith to get fixed so some little kid can have a free gun

The CCI stuff covers a dinner plate when it comes to pattern at about 10 feet range. Goes thru both the paper plate as well as a single sheet of cardboard rather nicely. I figure it has to be "good enough" for the odd barn mouse at point blank range.
