Not really sure.
Was out with my girlfriend yesterday having some fun in the bush and then "pop", good thing I taught her to watch out for squib loads and always check when it does not sound or feel right before squeezing off another round.

There was what appeared to be no main charge, just a primer and some "brownish filler material".

Not impressed, I will be burning off the rest of what I have and 100% reloading from here on out.

I can't see a primer alone sending it that far down the barrel unless it is quite worn.

Regardless that will be a ##### to pound out, and I would hate doing it to an antique.

Good on the GF for noticing though. ;)

Yeah the crown is pretty worn on this gun and the rifling is there and leaves groves but they are kind of shallow, I sprayed some fluid film in there, made a collar for the brass rod and tapped it out, it came out pretty easy.

This one is my shooter/bush beater as the barrel has seen better days. The safe queen still hasn't been shot yet by me.

Ok thats intresting there must be the new Batch of 8mm fiochhi because a fellow i know had this happen to two diffrent guns very recently.
One was exactly the same as the OPs gun with bullet right at the end of the barrel.
Lucky he noticed before he fired the next round or the barrel woulda buldged or split like a banana.

This is very Dangerous there should be a warning Post sticky about the NEW 8mm lebal fiochhi ammo.
There has to be a bad batch out there.

Maby Post the Batch Number ?
I have asked the other fellow i know if he still has his box with the batch number to see if theres anything common about the numbers or dates.

Shake each cartridge beside your ear to hear the powder swirling inside before loading it in to the gun.

I fired a .38 spec. rifle that was just a primer pop. It went thud...cooked a little then spit the bullet out bouncing along the grass about 10 feet in front of me! I do believe it is possible. I won't say who loaded the ammo...

Well I was firing my reloads yesterday as well and they were performing much better both velocity and accuracy consistency than the fiocchi.

That is the last of it that I will be buying considering I have like 500 pieces of brass now.

I was going to start a thread on this, but it looks like somebody already beat me to it. Prior to my purchase of the 1892 revolver I watched the Youtube video with the Fiocchi 8mm Lebel ammo mishap and wondered if it would happen to me. I went through 200 rounds before it happened to me and my pal while shooting in the bush.

This is my stuck bullet. The funny part was my friend laughed his butt off at me when it happened only to have it happen to him twice a few rounds later. I drove the bullet out with some WD40 and a 1\4" ratchet wrench extension and a hammer. I was disappointed to say the least as I have over 400 rounds of this stuff. I didn't let this get me down and proceeded to shoot the reloads I had with no problems.

The batch # for my box of Fiocchi 8MM and my friend's are identical.

5206001 2044 CIP 001 1570

I've never had any bad luck shooting Fiocchi brand ammunition prior to this happening with my 1892. My S&W 622 has never had any FTF or FTE and digests the .22LR with no problems after thousands of rounds have gone through it. Has problems with other ammo but just loves the Fiocchi stuff.
