could you tell me what to use and how to do that please?? it looks awsome.:eek:
is it stailess underneath or will it rust ??
thanks

Since they are using Stainless on the slide... I'd be really surprised if it was not a Stainless barrel/guide-rod.

Polishing = Buffing wheel?

started by a soak for 30 min in vinigar then rubbed whit a clean cloth (gives a tactical gray finish, almost left it like that), than used a fine sanding paper ( 1200 ) than,to polish it to miror finish i used a dremel tool whit a buffer weel and the red stuff that is used for metals.

I have a steel mag release on my XD, it hasn't rusted yet in 2+ years. I also don't shoot it very often or use a holster when I do.

It looks good though. All of my guns now have a shiny barrel.

I did my barrel using 600 grit and buffed with a dremel. I didn't use vinegar and I might sand again with 1000 or 1200 grit for a smoother look but I'm happy with these results. It took about an hour.
