I hate 10/22's

This is starting to get interesting.:D

Ten reason I like my 10/22

1. One shot one kill? It's no fun unless they go down in a hail of gunfire!
good excuse for lack of skill
2. Lots of flying brass to distract the more competitive friends.
that is if you have any freinds after getting hot brass down asscracks
3. Magazines are cheap and plentiful so reloading happens less. When you do reload you can still piss off gun snobs by rocking the truck..
By shooting less/killing more us boltgun snipers have more time to bug 10-22 users about poor shooting4. Almost every good guy has one so you'll always have something in common with new shooting buddies. If you do not own one what does that say about you?
lets see? no 10-22= Increased safety awareness/more knowledge of accuracy/probably a better hunter of big game/has better honey holes5. They don't cost an arm and a leg so you can own multiple ones. You never know when a friend might drop by for some fun.
This is equal to dating 4 fat chicks and saying it equals a supermodel/####star:D :D 6. Aftermarket upgrades? Besides AR's and 1911's they probably have the most. You can turn them into evrything from ak look alikes to tack drivers.
A great boltgun rem/CZ/77/22 needs no upgrades:D :D 7. Can't get much simpler to strip and maintain. A blind retarded monkey on valium could dissassmbly and reassemble this rifle.
You said it/ I didnt:p :p :p 8. Pisses off gun snobs to the point that they need to rant on gun forums.
Gives me something to write about.
Point agreed what else is work comp for?9. Short stubby and ugly. Perfect for swinging around in a truck or lugging around a field. Function follows form. Pretty boys buy pretty guns.
ever seen a decent 77/22 in action?
10. Lets see more than 8000 rounds through mine and the only complaint is it wont use some cheaper ammos. Not to shabby if I say so myself.
If you are happy with mediocrity, enjoy it!

You are right on one account. This IS getting interesting!:D :D :D :D :D

good excuse for lack of skill. I would argue that it takes MORE skill to hit a gopher multiple times in a very short period.
2. Lots of flying brass to distract the more competitive friends.
that is if you have any freinds after getting hot brass down asscracksMy friends happen to have the mental capacity to avoid brass. I normally don't shoot with idiots.

By shooting less/killing more us boltgun snipers have more time to bug 10-22 users about poor shooting I can't state enough that I find the hardware not to be the issue in missed shots.4. lets see? no 10-22= Increased safety awareness/more knowledge of accuracy/probably a better hunter of big game/has better honey holesSo owning a 10/22 makes you unsafe, unaccurate, and a poor hunter. Okay whatever. I would say no 10/22= less appeal to new shooters and less people in the sport. 5. They don't cost an arm and a leg so you can own multiple ones. You never know when a friend might drop by for some fun.

A great boltgun rem/CZ/77/22 needs no upgrades Neither does the 10/22, AR, or 1911 but its still fun to play around with them. The key word is fun. Not complain.7. Can't get much simpler to strip and maintain. A blind retarded monkey on valium could dissassmbly and reassemble this rifle.

ever seen a decent 77/22 in action?I own a 77/17hmr in the target grey model. fun but not exactly what I like to haul around the field or keep in the truck. It's heavy, the overall length is long and it absolutely needs to be on a bipod to be any good. The 10/22 is very easy to shoot standing.
10. Lets see more than 8000 rounds through mine and the only complaint is it wont use some cheaper ammos. Not to shabby if I say so myself.
If you are happy with mediocrity, enjoy it! If you're happy being a stuck up snob go with it.

I normally shoot with 4-5 friends. The normal group has a winchester lever action, a savage 64 semi, a marlin 925, a winchester 490, a cooey, and at least two 10/22's. I have never felt at a disadvantage at any time. I also have never heard anyone complain about them. Maybe it's becuase we are fairly easy going about gopher hunting. I get the feeling some people get wrapped a little too tight out there. I pity anyone that has to shoot with someone constantly complaining about everyone else's shooting. Mellow out, it's a hobby, it's supposed to relieve stress not cause it.

BTW I also shoot my .17, my 22-250, and even my .308 and these guns are one shot, long distance rifles. I can understand the appeal of bolt gun accuraccy but for a .22 you don't need sub moa to have fun. I rarely shoot out past 75 yards with mine, I don't need to.

:D :D As intersting trading goodheated jabs are:D :D , Youy are right on many of these accounts, my whole purpose of this thread is to make a lighthearted poke at those stalwart users of 10-22s while gopher hunting,Anywon who has shot with me will attest thaty this is a FUN experience, and I take ribbing as good as I give it. In fact, just last sunday I hosted not one , not two, but 3 10-22 users in my Scout convertable 4x4 for a great day in the field. the better shooters got more gophers, Surprise surprise, yes there were a lot of rounds expended:D :D but anywone thatdoes not have fun gopher hunting with me probably forgot their gun!
