I Hate the 12.6 Classification........

- why the price is still so high?

Yes I wonder that myself. Knew and old guy that wanted to get rid of some of his stuff before he kicked off. But when the time came to do it, he would not, He wanted insane prices, like I was to bribe him to get it from him. And he would keep saying," the blue book says this or that."

Hey pal, this is not the US, blue book don't mean $hit.

Needless the say, we did not do business.

I keep and eye on certain webpages, looking at the prices of a few pieces that interest me. In one case, the pistols are on commission, they've sat there for over a year, and when I make and offer I get, "no, the price is the price."

Well, I'm in no hurry:p I'll wait him out.

I hate the 12.6 classification too and I have it. Do you guys who don't have it understand just how much of a burden it is?

You show up at the range for a little restorative plinking with your snubbie and suddenly you draw a crowd of younger shooters. "Hey is that ever cool. Wow I wish I could own one. I've never shot one before."

So you do the polite thing and hand over the gun and ammo. Well before you know it everyone wants a try. "Hey, it's pretty accurate. Dang I didn't know they could shoot that far. Nice smooth action. It's great. I really wish I could own one."

Before you know it I'm out a couple boxes of ammo. My target's shredded, it's time to go home, I've hardly fired a shot and now I have a gun to clean.

It's tough being 12(6). Really tough. ;)

You need to learn to trade time with whatever they have with;) I hate the 12.x rules! A FN para would be sweet:( All but one of my pistols are 12.6. Glad I had a short S&W prior to Feb 14/1995.

I was told that the Masterpiece went for a fair bit of change. $450-$550 in good shape, up to $700 as new in the box.
I got mine in v/good shape, with a holster and the origional box and manual for $250
(not quite as pretty as the one in the pic though)
