I'm a women just getting into IPSC who has a much smaller waist than my hips,i definitely have womanly hour glass hips. I find i need to wear a rig much lower than guys are allowed.i have sensitive skin and absolutely hate nylon itchy scratchy stuff!!! if something is uncomfortable it usually ends up in the nearest trash can in no time flat. i like my sweat pants (ya,ya I'm a real fashion queen lol) and don't wear pants with loops to often.

i tried a 2 1/4" safari land 87 leather belt lined with suede that was really comfortable at the range a few weeks back and seemed to stay where i put it.i am wondering if using a blade tech doh s/r 84 would work on this type of belt? does this seem like a descent choice for production class shooting a CZ shadow?

would Cr speed versa pouch mag holders or ghost work for this type of belt? i like the lowered finger hole part of these for grabbing mags.i want something that will stay tight but easy to adjust if i want to. i know my mags are supposed to be behind my hip bones (for ladies to,right?) but i will probably want to angle them some with my hippy frame.suggestions on this would be greatly appreciated.i don't mind spending a little money on getting stuff I'll be happy with.

does any of this need any additional mounting type brackets,I'm a little confused on this....? if so what type.

thanks for helping out a lady newb.any suggestions where to get all this at the same place in Canada preferably.I'm from Sask.

Ladies can wear rig at the hip level, but you still have to secure it with the loops, e.g. add those loops to your sweet pants. A leather belt may work, but may not be sturdy enough to hold up all your equipment, loaded mags and a gun, meaning gear would shift around, making it harder to reach to. Maybe you can attach a layer of suede to an inner velcro belt to make it more comfortable for you.

Also, you may get a better answer from the Women of USPSA. http://www.womenofuspsa.com/ try to email them or write on the wall on their Facebook page. I am sure you'll get lots of first hand experience there.

Gotta love the typo.............
Anyway as stated just add some belt loops at your hip level and you will be just fine. They would then of course be dedicated "shooting pants" as you would look a tad silly at the mall with either extra loops doing nothing or a belt at hip level. Mind you it might start a new fashion trend.

Or sew some velcro at hipbone level onto your shooting pants and you can still use a normal belt in the upper loops as long as no gear is carried on it.

why would the velcro icth you ? you have to wear these rigs to snug you kinda tight, but not to tight..so their not loose and hostler and pouches are firm when you pull out a mag or draw the gun...they can't be sloppy...and you should be wearing a shirt tucked in your pants and not a short loose shirt that can get in way of grip of gun or mags, etc...
and this would also cover your skin, thus you'll not feel any velcro to irritate you.....but a thick very rigid belt would work as well...but better with loose fitting cotton pants of some kind would be better the "sweet" pants... not jeans, if you don't like them..but loose fitting like hiking pants or shorts...

unless you wear like a tank top style...of which one popular philippine lady does, but she's in show biz....and likes the attention..
most serious women shooters dress accordingly to the sport...
But if the ladies wanted to shoot in Bikini's, who am I to complain.:D

check out the d-shoot pants at CRAFM... if your looking for style/performance shooting clothes thats your best bet ;)

D shoot seem to be popular as well as kaki shorts. The 5.11 line has shorts for women, and have good belt loops for shooting belts,etc...

Not sure, but the D shoot appear to run a little snug,....fyi. Some women will not like that..
