I have a CZ SP01 Shadow - how do you disassemble the mags?

The mags have the big plastic end on them and I was just wondering how to take the mag apart. I've searched Utube and the net for specific instructions for taking the mag apart but haven't found anything.
Canadian mags (the ones I have; have the plastic ends).
Anyway if anyway could fill me in that would be great.

Just want to be able to take them apart once in awhile to clean.

Thank you in advance

Look inside the base-plate from the bottom, you should see a small indent, push it up with a punch or pen. Carefully slide base-plate off. Watch for flying springs.

Those things are lethal. Imagine catching one in the eye, yikes.

That's why one shouldn't watch TOO closely. ;)

A couple more tips...

Clean one at a time, so that you can have an example of the orientation of parts going back together if you forget.

Also the less obvious tip: you don't need to worry about lining up the dimple on the bottom of the spring retainer with the base-plate if it is being finicky. You can slide the base-plate on using your punch to push up the retainer and then tap the entire mag (after it is assembled) against your palm a few times until the dimple centers itself back in the base-plate's hole. You'll know it is perfect when all the rattles are gone.

That's what I do. Sometimes I have to guide the dimple with a punch, but it's not too hard to pop back in there.
