I have a dream...A Norinco AR-10...

I just built an American made ar10 for roughly 1200,and another(built on the same aero builders kit) more premium one for just under 4000,if a overseas copy of something similar was to be made it would have to be priced below 1200 to even get me thinking of buying it.

I have a dream too, go get a job, and buy a normal ar10... like whats up with these treads?

Exactly. I just don't understand how people can think like this being in the firearms world.

Also I don't think that is a dream but more in line like a nightmare.

This thread is d:h:

Considering Canada Ammo latest Dominion Arm rifles are made in the USA, because the prices are better than what Norinco is charging.

What you mean is "if an overseas copy of something similar that was NON RESTRICTED was to be made"....

Well then lets get a clone of the original AR10 built in the US by Dominion Arms? Non Restricted potential especially now that the NEA102 has set the ground path.
I'm sure I'm not the only crusty old school type that would appreciate a direct clone of the original AR10?

Nope you are not the only crusty old school type, however to make it profitable they would need at least 500 crusty old school types to break even, double that to make a profit, since we are in a "make it for cheaper" thread, that means we are not talking about just "crusty old school type" but rather "crusty old school AND CHEAP type" Laugh2

Not a dream I would like to experience. More like a nightmare!
S&W AR15's in .223 are little more than the chi-com AR's. For a few bucks more you can step up to the DPMS AR15. Plus DPMS makes a 308 AR for under a grand too.

Are you ####ing serious? I'd take a Norc over DPMS any day.

Same.
The Norinco AR's are a sure fire hit.
There's wiggle room in quality and fit and finish with many a Norc firearm. But I've never seen a Norc AR that couldn't take a beating with the best of them out there.
They aren't pretty but god damn they're built tough.

Do this .308 AR had 10 rounds mag ?

I would have to agree with this. Why would you want a sub accurate restricted 308 platform in Canada? Take the $1000 that you are going to pay for the Nork, add the $500-$1000 that you know you are going to spend on it to get it where you want it, and simply buy a higher quality gun to start with!
