That bear was taken with the .375 H+H, we were headed to look for a big grizzly but got side tracked with this brown boar. It was shot by yours truly as we can't guide non-residents without a bunch of paper work so the guys just came along for the R&R and mr.goat had never seen a bear shot or even one to shoot at. It was a little adventure after the shooting.
My toy box has 7 roll up doors and 4 car stackers and does indeed house some vintage iron....... 69 rag top 'vette, completely restored. A 68 Mustang GT 302 completely restored with nitrous, a 75 'vette with fuelie 427, A 55 Belair with a blown 427, 754 hp on the dyno @ 7000, a 1986 Jaguar XJS V-12 and my '06 Z06 is in Edmonton being fixed as I broke it.
It also keeps my argos, 4 wheelers and sleds safe.
Great pics................but what's with the all-terrain tires on the Testarossa? Looks like they came off the Ram in the background. No asphalt in Whitehorse?
Those are the factory correct, speed rated tires for that year and model Ferrari, as far as I know. It is what it came with and they are different in NA than in Europe, I know that.

Hey Doug,glad to see everything worked out for you and your crew.I have one question,in post 329 (the range pic) I noticed it's all downhill,would this or did it affect the numbers due to the downhill trajectory? Versus a level range.....

Post 329 is from the last birm looking back to the shooting line. Acutally the range is uphill, but all the shooting was done at 100 mtrs which is dead flat. The uphill component is very minimal over the distances so it doesn't seem to make a lot of difference to the sillouette shooters. The rails for sillhouette were all lazer ranged for accuracy, so the bullet flight should be the same whether level or on our range.
We had an interesting experience with my 22-284 and 80 gn SMK at about 3750 fps from my 1-8 twist barrel they were tuning into mist about 30 mtrs downrange. Most disconcerting as this is the bullet I wanted to use on baboons at about 4000 fps. Anyone else had these experiences?
I will post little anecdotes from our shooting fiasco but I'm a very slow and poor typist so this is quite painfull for me, and a long detailed dissertation is out of the question.

Are they Goodyear Gatorbacks ? I had those on my Mustang SVO years ago. Guess I just got used to seeing most new sports cars with high speed rated tires with almost no tread of any sort, just rain grooves.

The Testarossa has 16-inch (406 mm) wheels with a width of 8-inch (200 mm) at the front and 10-inch (250 mm) at the rear for both U.S. and International versions. The tire code for the U.S. version of the vehicle had Goodyear 225/50 VR 16 and 255/50 VR 16 for the rear tires, whilst the tire codes for the international version had Michelin TRX 240/45 VR 415 for the front tires and TRX 280/45 VR 415 for the rear tires.
