No hammering 30-06 rounds in the barrel. I have had her to a gunsmith she is 1000 percent a 30-06. They fit and eject perfect. The casing is same size for a 270 and 30-06 but bullet is different size.

Interesting..wish you luck dealing with Remington. I would have totally kept' the misprinted one as a Collector/Curio piece.

That is a very dangerous mistake on remington and i feel your frustration but no offence driving a 1000kms to go hunting with a new rifle that's not even sighted in seems kinda crazy to me.

I’m glad you pointed that out. Also not sure if a 30-06 has enough get up and go to bring down a moose cleanly. I use a 338 Lapua; but your hunting in Quebec so ???

LOL Free gun? Only free gun you might get is. The one the dealership lol will replace this with. Remington isn't going to give you SQUAT.

Ruger D&T a mount side ways. Only free gun I got was the replacement for that, then the replacement for the other one. 3 with issues. But I demand a separate free gun because my pain and suffering.

No point joining other gun board, posting the same story. Because many will just tell you what your already read. Why drive 1000km with a un sighted gun, and not inspected?

If you think a 30-06 cant bring down a moose cleanly you are either a bad shot or know little about hunting

Holy schit.....contact the press, shame remington publicly until they shut you up financially. Awesome.

You people are all the reason the world is what it is.

If you already traded in the rifle for a proper one and don't still have posession of the defective one I doubt you'll get anything from anybody.

This is Gravel's business forum. It is Saturday night. They are probably closed. Gravel can reopen this thread when they see it.
Anyone wanting to discuss this issue with the OP can go to his other thread here or on the other site where he also posted his story.

We are very sorry about this situation!

Just started to look into this and from what the service dept. here has told me, a Service Call was created on Sept 20th to warranty/replace the rifle and compensate you for used ammo.

They are still waiting on the rifle to be sent here or returned to the dealer. We can't do anything for the client though until we get the rifle back to look at.
