I have been offered a vintage 16 gauge shotgun..

The 16 gauge is super cool I love 16 ga. Shottys. Sure they cost a few bucks more per box of game loads but they generally shoot better and how many of your buddy's have a 16 ga. Now to your point, tell the guy thanks but no thanks. Check out ee here, you can do a lot better. Good luck
 
Vintage is such a vague and misleading term. When I think of vintage shotguns, I picture an antique blackpowder shotgun that maybe takes a cartridge or is an original muzzleloader. Early Post WWII? Maybe no vintage IMO. lol
