I have been under a rock for a couple of years. Is Canada banning the SKS?

NEVER EVER TRUST A LIBERAL GOVERNMENT TO DO THE RIGHT THING FOR CANADIANS.

They have a GLOBALIST AGENDA and they're using Canada as a CONVENIENCE to achieve that agenda.

OUR MAINSTREAM MEDIA OUTLETS CAN'T BE TRUSTED TO BE NON BIASED and their reporting is SENSATIONALISM ON STEROIDS.

One thing I find strange. There is more reporting on US firearms incidents in Canada than the US. Why???

I've hand written letters to the management at CBC, to the Minister of Communications Canada and the present Heritage Canada Minister about this. NADA, not one reply.

On Feb, 03/20 the Heritage Minister announce there was going to be a complete makeover of the mainstream media licensing requirements etc. No real details though.

If the Liberals believe there is value in enabling all of, or only a few sections of C71, they will do it in a heartbeat.

If they feel there will be political hay to be made by banning whatever they describe as assault rifles, they will do it without a qualm.

This isn't anything new. Paul Martin let that cat of the bag over a decade ago. He wasn't the first Liberal PM to do so. Yes, it was a baited hook, that he knew wouldn't catch anything big. For those that are to young or uninformed, Paul Martin tried to pass a bill that would ban ownership of handguns in Canada. NO BUYBACKS OR GRANDFATHERING MENTIONED.

They have their chance. They're not afraid of being defeated and they have a leader that's becoming very unpopular, even among his past supporters. IMHO, PM TRUDEAU IS GOING TO INSTIGATE AS MUCH DAMAGE AS HE CAN BEFORE HE'S THROWN OUT IN THE POLLS OR STEPS DOWN.

Your firearms AREN'T SAFE.

Don't fall for the fantasy the Liberals are feeling weak and won't impose the regulations they've passed and are dreaming up. It may be the easy path right now, because there is so little coming out of Minister Blair.

They may not ban or prohibit more than a few firearms at first. However, they've closed their doors to us and locked them tight.

The BLOC, who some here voted for, are nothing more than a Quebec extension of the Liberal Party of Canada, with a PHONY SECESSIONIST AGENDA. In reality they are in the back pockets of the Liberals and in full agreement with all of the antifirearms legislation they want to pass.

The socalled "MINORITY MANDATE" is a smoke screen, to keep the plebes unbalanced. The mainstream media loves to push it.

As far as I have heard they're going to try and follow in New Zealand's footsteps and ban 'military style semiautomatic weapons'.

The SKS is definitely my first choice for my first rifle purchase, so this concerns me. Any word on the Mosin being banned? I mean, it's a "military-style" rifle. I guess they might as well ban military-style Brown Bess muskets while they're at it.
 
Want to see the Mother of all bans? Just wait till the next mass shooting happens in Canada! We'll be lining up at the smelters(like good Canadians do).
 
Use the search feature on CGN please. There are numerous threads already present that will answer your question. All you are doing is allowing the usual suspects to yet again rant and rave.

To bad they aren' spending some of their "TIP TOE THROUGH THE TULIPS" time getting involved in their EDAs and giving a real face to our presence.

at least with you there is one thing you never change is your thune. we are a few that tried that way but some old boys club did not want to hear about it and guess what i can guarantee you the CPC will not put his words on the gun owners more than they have done in the past ...

if i good enough to pay when requested and vote and do not say extra words sorry that is not my way of seeing things. good luck with whoever is elected ...
 
Don't know why they are banning the SKS being unregistered there cant be more than 10 or 20 in the entire country
 
Most or all......... Okay 100% of all the peoplekind that I have talked to, including active and retired law enforcement, active and retired military, gun shop owners and lots of regular Canadians have said they are not playing this time and cooperation or compliance is not an option. Time to stop talking and Man up ( no disrespect to woman, many have more balls than most Men) we must stand together and say no and a bigger no to any compromise that does not result in more rights for licensed law abiding Canadians
