I have decided to be a better man,

I have the 1911, G20 and G29. All are fun to shoot. Used to have a Delta Elite back in the 90s when ammo, if u could find it, was loaded to the proper levels. Not like the commercial stuff today which is barely more than a 40S&W

Toss up for my next significant handgun purchase between a 10mm auto and my gotta have Ruger Redhawk in 45Colt.

Must say a Sig P220 Elite would be a sweet carry gun in the bush but might have a hard time lugging around such a beautiful pistol through the thick stuff. Maybe a Glock 20 as you can't really make it any uglier, cheaper than other 10mm pistols and they're known to be super reliable when you really need it.

What else shoots 10mm reliably.

I have an S&W 1006 which kicks a$$, but is very hard to find. The SIGs don't fit my small hands but they are beautifully made and always a good choice if they fit you. Don't forget to reload for the 10mm if you want to sample what it really offers. Factory ammo is seriously weak sauce these days. I use Blue Dot and it produces superb fireballs with max loads.

I've been waiting patiently for years for the Vltor Bren Ten...but I've resigned myself that it'll probably never get to production. I really like the look of the STI Nitro 10 but it's a little too pricey for me.

A Bren Ten would be my holy grail if they finally made one that ran properly. I would probably sell a kidney to get one.

You can't be a man if you don't have an HK45:stirthepot2:

:puke:

.41 mag, IIRC. More ooompf than a "measley".357....:stirthepot2:

Now you've gone and done it. :nest:

the 10mm is the next on my hit list.
im kinda caught between a long slide 10mm 1911 and one of those new Glock 40 longslides.

A long slide 1911 would be superb in 10mm. Now I'm thinking about it, too. Thanks.

That is a hell of a dilemma you have there.

I had to make a hard life choice about a year ago, between the P220 in 10mm, and picking up a beauty S&W Model 57 in .41 Mag.....so I got the Smith. They are harder to find, and damn if that just isn't a ###y cartridge too...but the P220 is still on the list. I've got a couple Smiths that may go on the block to finance it. Oh, did I mention that if you're getting a 10mm....get the Sig. That one up there is PERFECTION!

Love the 57. The 41 mag is 'the' perfect cartridge for the N-frame. Such a shame factory ammo is so difficult to find or approaching $2/round if you can find it. Time for me to start seriously thinking about reloading...

Yep gotta reload if you're shooting these out of the way cartridges on a regular basis. Won't save any money but you'll be able to shoot much more.
