I have joined the club!

Good for you Clammy! Remember, a true SKS fan only cleans the cosmo from the inside of the rifle, then shoots a pile of ammo and lets the rest drip off onto his clothes, the inside of the car's trunk, and the house's carpet.

Ah, I love the smell of hot cosmoline in the morning!

I received an unfired Yugo M-59 SKS yesterday, completely embalmed in cosmo, heheheh... I can't wait to get the crud off it and take it to the range!

Cheers!

nice! They are really alot of fun to shoot. Not as slick and fashionable like an AR (any AR owner will tell you so, they have a secret handshake ;) ), but at least our communist forces have not turned SKSs into restricted POSs that you can only take to the range.

Plus, it fires a useful sized bullet. Splits rocks quite well :)

Haahah!! I'll still probably clean it off the outside first, hehehe...

Cheers!

It's convenient that it shoots the same cartridge as my VZ-58, and I happen to have 1/2 a case of ammo here! The rifle is in really sweet shape (form what I can see through the cosmo!)

Cheers!

Hey, no one told me about the secret AR handshake.

I've got a semi high-speed AR and an early Factory 26 SKS. I'd never get rid of either one.

I just got my yugo sks as well . I love it . Haven't got to shoot it yet , too busy cleaning all the crud off of it. What a mess but comes off easy enough. Looks like a million bucks now. Also got it off of top notch dealer cgn'er . Was considering the chinese for the money , but i think this was the better choice for me . Can't wait to shoot it. Hey , in the bottom of the magazine is a small metal plate. It looks as if it blocks the magazine to 5 rounds . Would this be correct ? Without it would it go to 10 ?

I have a feeling if our stupid laws ever change to allow us to have more them 5rnds in a semi auto, there is going to be a shortage of Dremel cutting disks in Canada. :D
