I have shotgun fever :)

Shotguns are my favorite too next to .22 rimfire semis.

They are very easy to clean (if you really must), fun and very easy to shoot and on top of all that you can go from shooting a single rifled projectile to a bunch of BB's without changing guns.

Yey scatter guns!

here's my thinned out 870 collection. And my bigazz gun case to tote them all around, yes they do all fit.

From the top

870 Grizz wearing copper furniture
870 Police, blued finish, the wingmaster built as it should be
870 express tac'd out for robbing banks
870 Supermag for turning turkey's heads to jello.

I suppose I also have a terminal case but I can not for the life of me understand the concept of "way to many" or why anybody would want less.
I have shotguns in pretty much every gauge and always adding to the following numbers.
1x10ga
26x12ga
1x14ga
3x16ga
7x20ga
2x28ga
3x.410 = 42 shotguns does that = shotgun fever? I feel fine does anybody know the symptoms of this terrible illness so I could explain it to my better half LOL.
Regards

I've only got 3; an 870 Express with Max4 synthetic stocks a 28" barrel and an aftermarket extended choke that's a daily driver during waterfowl season, a mid 60's Wingmaster in excellent condition that gets used for upland and a Stoeger 2000 that was purchased on a whim and will probably get sold to make room for a Benelli SBE2 next summer.

I just took a pic of the 26 and then remembered I forgot two my Savage 210 and my paradox which are kept in a safe this a good sign that I do have shotgun fever;)so its actually 28. It took me a while because I had to get them all out to get them in 1 pic, oh well it was a good excuse to wipe them all down. Here is the pic just to show that I was not full of BS when I said 26.

I salute you:wave:

what is the point in having so many? i mean... how many of those have you actually used in the past year?
I own more than 20 myself, and the rifle count staggers some people.
I own them, work on them, shoot them , or just have them, and do not have to account to anyone why!
That is why it is called a "collection".
if I had to own just one rifle/shotgun, it would be my FAIR O/U in 6.5X55 with the extra set of 20 gauge barrels.

But then, one needs a few pump guns, other O/U's for trap/skeet, ducks, geese, partridge - not to mention the family heirlooms.
Muzzle loader season begs for other rifles, target shooting requires at least one for every discipline, etc.
Pistols are a whole other ball of wax, of course, what with IPSC, ISU, fun guns......:D

I have used all of them this season except for the Sauer sxs with the body filler on the stock because it had a badly broken stock and I had it duplicated and have yet to finish the new stock.

Thanks! That is only the 12ga guns as the couch was not long enough for all of them. I love trap guns and seek vintage examples when I can afford them the one in the center is a 1926 L.C.Smith Olympic trap grade single in about 90% cond. Now I am looking for its match in a sxs.

Its so nice to see some one who understands explain it. If I had to own just one I would cry.

Only too glad to help out another sufferer of G.A.S.
( gun aquisition syndrome)!:D

If I could find my camera I'd post a few myself, yours are pretty cool - love the old SXS's!

What does it matter whether he uses all of them or none of them? They are his to enjoy as he sees fit.

And here's a little advice for you. It's generally bad form to criticize or question anyone else's gun collection. But in your case you might want to at least wait until you have a PAL and a gun of your very own.
