... I was out shooting yesterday with a friend, being a rookie, he did not know the Norinco spam can 7.62X51 (308) was not allowed for hunting ( he ordered a case from tradeex) so i explained to him that he could not hunt with those, i had brought 10 boxes of Nosler Accubond 165 gr to shoot for the first time my new NM M1A...
After a while i decided to try that chinese ammo in my NM M1A... OMG this ammo was giving me the same size groups, open sights than my Accubond, i was VERY SURPRISED, positive ejection, reliable feeding, i would have never thought that possible...
To make a long story short, i did zero is BAR 308 with the Accubond and i traded the 8 remaining boxes of Nosler for the 2 spam can of Tradeex 308, went tru 200 rounds of Norinco in my NM M1A with zero glitch and 2-2.5 MOA at 100 yards open sights...
This mea culpa... I have to do...
Now this morning just ordered 2 more cases of the stuff @ 369.00 a case, free shipping, now that is not much money for that ammo...
By the way the Springfield Armory National Match M1A is an AWSOME rifle, it shoot like a dream... And the last time i shot 2 MOA open sights, it was 30 years ago, those sights are perfect ... Even for older eyes... JP.

Caramel are you adopting by any chance? Every time I see you've posted something, a little piece of me dies inside because I know it involves some sort of gun/ammo purchase lol.

What courier did Tradeex ship the ammo with? I've seen a few things on their site that interest me but if they ship CanPar I won't as I would never be home to get the package. Luckily I live close enough I could probably arrange an appointment to stop by the shop myself.

Taking care of my family, travelling, shooting, and buying cool stuff... I that not what retierment is made for, dont die... Just live... JP. PS: I think it is coming by UPS....

My only fear was to open up a gummed rifle, what a surprise to see after 220 round of Norinco 147 gr in my NM, the were barely nothing to clean, got her all greased up for the next outing... JP.

Today decided to take 20 rounds of that Tradeex surplus, weight them, mesured the COL... On the scale the difference between all of them is almost nothing and the COL was to close to make a difference... Thanks to myself for ordering 2 extras K... JP.

Amazing shooting again. You are the luckiest guy I know, every rifle you buy shoots like a laser! :)

But I am confused; I thought you were abandoning semi-auto firearms? I remember your thread started only a few months ago where you made a big fuss about selling your semi-autos because you were so very frightened the government might take them sometime in the future. I have to say it - I was surprised and a bit disgusted that a guy like you would get so frightened of losing a couple cheap guns to the government. It was not one of your finest moments. :(

Now I was pleasantly surprised to see you have acquired an M1A and you recently starting some other threads about getting your RPAL and buying a Norinco 1911. Good for you, glad to see it!

So why the big change of heart?? Did you just finally wake up and realize that running away doesn't work? Maybe you recently started testosterone replacement therapy? What made you change your mind, or is this just normal for you? Enquiring minds want to know!

Hey Jet hunter, you know, only stupid peoples dont changed their mind, true, it was a stupid move but at least they are out of the Quebec registry, i never did lack testosterone and my RPAL application is in the mail ( just before i took the plane)... JP.

I should alway take into consideration, those who have more experience in military foreing ammo... This one is on your side Jay... JP.

so this stuff from trade ex is non-corrosive? that is great pricing if it is

I ask because other importers brought in 7.62x39 and selling it as non-corrosive prices when it turns out it was corrosive

I only cleaned my NM the day after and almost no residus and no rust, i am pretty sure it is non corrosive, i saw how fast it rusted once when i shot one SKS with corrosive ammo, and only cleaned the day after, there is no comparaison... JP.

That's good to hear Caramel. We all have moments of silliness occasionally and the thing that makes a man is not his mistakes, but how he recovers from them. Getting those rifles off the registry wasn't a bad move either, :)

Now you really need to join the dark side and get an antique pistol and an SKS.

excellent to hear. I will be ordering a crate
