Folks,

I am going to buy a 9mm Beretta.

Any thoughts on which model is better, M9, 92, or Ninety-Two?

I am currently leaning towards a M9 but would appreciate some imput on your experience and likes/dis-likes with the different models.

Thanks,
Jon

Call Reliable (sponsor), M9 there, during their one day sale last weekend was $100 off, $700 or something like that. May be willing to make a deal yet (non-sponsor Italian has their one day sale Sat., could check there too).

Ninety-two has back strap options that may work better with your hand. Perhaps slightly less recoil - uses a bushing. Also has accessory rail. The take down lever resets itself when put slide back on. Personally prefer the 92. Handle them both.

I would get the M9. It has the classic lines of the 92FS before the new slanted dust covers and such of the new ones. Basically it'll look like the Beretta's in 80's movies like Diehard, Lethal Weapon, any Hong Kong gun movie with Chow Yun Fat.

I may be becoming an old Grognard, but I hate the 'new lines' of Beretta's and P99's. I prefer the older profiles.

nice!! the ghosted 92fs is probably on of the best looking handguns ever made!

i plan on getting one after i finish my black 92 italian!

Don't forget the M9A1. The one currently used by the US military. The M9 you see around gun shops now are a bit of a commemorative pistol. (The one in a green case with green aluminum grips.)

Who carries the M9? I only see the 92 for sale when it comes to the original ones. Lots of 90-two's, but no m9's. Reliable doesn't have it on their website
