Okay, so I'll start this by saying I can't stand Canadian Tire.

However, I was there this morning buying motor oil and like a good Gun Nut I had to walk over to the ammo cabinet.
All they had .22 wise was the Winchester 333 round boxes for $14.99 and.....

Remington Thunderbolt bricks for $9.45. Yeah, I bought them ALL. I guess it was a pricing error, but I cashed in on it.

Just figured I would rub this in.
 
9.45 a brick of Thunderbolt is really good, I personally cant compel myself to shoot that and frustrate myself to the point of giving up. Something about Remington ammo for me just never feeds or fires right, plus it is very dirty. Non the less at that price, it is one hell of a bargain.

Just be sure to safe the T-Bolt ammo for your bolt-actions.......:evil:

Where do you shop, anyhow?.......;)
 
333s are $13.68 at Wally mart. I will not use Remington at all. Federal 525s i get for $14.99 a brick. I buy them by the case, they knock off an extra 10% if by the case..
 
I also picked up a box of 333-s (last one...) at CT for $14.99 today but it's not such a great bargain. It works out to $22.50 for a brick. I also bought one brick (again, last one...) of Winchester Target (Dynapoint GT) for $23.99. CT was selling AE 40gr for $3.50 per box (50 rounds). :eek: :runaway:
Then I went to my local gun store and bought Blazer for $20.00/brick and AE 40gr for $21.95/brick.
 
Walmart now has winchester 555's (same as 333's, just more of them) for 19something, that is about as cheap as it gets.

Not at any big box stores .. you have to find a real sporting good store that sells ammunition. Stay away from CT. When I was in TBay a few weeks ago, they (CT) charged me $27 for 525 Blazers. I went to a place called GMK Armory and picked up 3 more 525's at $21.00.
 
Shifty....don't get us wrong.
I don't like that ammo because basically I bought it also at one time (as have most of us here) and found it to be VERY sub standard in the quality department.
Maybe you might like it...who knows??
Anyway, good score price wise!! (just too bad it wasn't CCI blazers!! :D )
 
Thunderbolts are the only thing that will run in my piece of crap 597's.
They are dirty as hell, but they shoot.


For the price, I could not resist. Even if they just get used up in the bolt guns. The odd time I get a kid out shooting, it doesn't matter if he is using CCI or T-Bolt's through the Cooey.
