I HUNTED a Wolf

x2, "Why not"!

To the sceptics, if you haven't shot a timber wolf in Alberta and weighed him, go do it, then come back and tell us what yours weighed.

The big one shot by me and the larger of the two shot by Neo back in 2005 (near Caroline, AB) weighed in at ~140 lbs and ~120 lbs respectively.

They're the ones towards the top of this gallery (laid out with the coyotes, hanging, and so on): http://www.savageencounters.com/page_display.asp?pid=37

I would say again, "Well done, sjemac!"

"but why would you hunt this animal...why would you call it hunting... you were in a truck.... and what other piss poor reasons can I come up with to try and justify why you have shot a wolf, and joe blow hasn't"

Nice WOLF !!!! Nice Shot !!! Way to get the kids involved !!!

I don't care if you call it hunting, a play date, or family time,... Good on you !

Hunting in a lot of Africa is drive, spot and stalk.
Get over yourselves all hunting is not sit in a blind over bait and stalk from your house.
Different areas do not all hunt the same.
It is all hunting get over yourselves.

Listen It is a hell of a nice wolf and it sounds like you made a great shot.
But the title of your thread says that you HUNTED a wolf, But I fail to see how driving down the road looking for deer and happening to see a pack of wolves and getting a quick poke at one gives you the claim of hunting a wolf.
Thats all.

Hahhah what a stupid thing to say. Whats harder, sitting in a stand or have to get out of a vehicle, load your rifle and take a snap shot. Its all hunting dooface, get over it.:kickInTheNuts:
