I joined the exclusive PGW Club.

Is that what it cost for such a nice rifle? Was going to try trade some time with my toys for a try at yours but you have way better toys than me:redface: Nice System you have there:D

No, only prairiemedic has to pay that much. We can't let him get away with the made in PRC versions either (they might end up containing lead).

I checked out your toy posts - you're doing okay. I'll pm you heading out.

Would love a chance to try shoot as good as your rifle:D Will start looking for an abundance of untouched virgins:evil:

Did you pay USD or CDN???

LOL... They should update their prices to par. $3700USD is not $5000CDN When was the exchange rate $1.35??
Canadians getting the shaft... Dubious business practice.

Not a bad deal for $3700Cdn. Woulnd't pay more.

To add to that last statement...maybe I will keep my mouth shut and wait for July, when we 1.10 US...THEN I will buy one after I convert to US funds at the nearest Financial Institution...yes, that does sound like a first class plan.

I paid in farm animals.

They really wanted a donkey but all we could find were a few asses.

I have shot and handled several specimens of PGW. These are NOT polished 700's and the like. They are a creature all to themselves and are worth more than the asking price.

If you have to ask; "Why?"

I say "Why bother..."

I don't get it. These guys are #####ing about the price, it's not like PGW needs there business, or are tring to drum up sales ever! I look at it as more of a favour they are doing for certain people. If they have a rifle they can part with, so be it. If you want one and then ##### about the price they can just sell it to some countries special forces instead. It's that good! Rant over.

Priorities are different. I survive with an old pc, no laptop, a '97 truck, 32" tv, and a small house in an older neighbourhood on a middle class wage supporting a family of four. We just took our first travelling vacation in 12 yrs. On the other hand I own a handfull of firearms that I and my family enjoy and we don't "need" the other amenities that some people have.

Either appreciate the rifle for what it is or don't but don't sit and whine about the price, availability, et al.

The guys at PGWDTI are the best and if you want the best you need to spend alittle bit of money to be the best, not that I'm the best I just want the best I could get and the way I shoot I need the best rifle that can compensate for me cuz I'm a bad shot

If you're not a competent shot to begin with I fail to see where the mechanical accuracy of any rifle would give you an advantage one way or another. It's only when your skill level has exceded your equipment's capability that you begin to see any sort of benefit.

You could have bought a TRG-42 or built a custom rifle for 1/3 to 1/2 the money it cost you for the Timberwolf and that rifle would be just as accurate and durable under the circumstances. Considering most of us use these expensive rifles as range queens I fail to see where durability becomes an issue.

It's simply marketing and an individual wanting to identify themselves as belonging to some sort of group. You're essentially looking for peer recognition and wanting to enjoy a certain level of preceived status.

Enjoy it! But to say the Timberwolf is "the best" all depends on what criteria you are evaluating and what other optional platforms are available to compare/contrast it against.

Are you still trying to sell your Timberwolf, Catwork?

OK I never got my timberwolf wanting to be in special group or anything never knew there was a group. I meet Ross a long time ago and love the work they do. Anyway I'm shooting out to 800yards with my timberwolf at caribou on tundre turrain as they run soon as they see you coming. If I was not confident at shooting at those ranges I would not shoot at that range. I was only saying I have all the confidence in the rifle and there are many rifles that can shoot fine at that range and more.

And no I'm not selling the timberwolf I was thinking of going to 50's but 338lapua is all I need for what I'm doing. Also my timberwolf is not a safe queen it is very durable on my turrian I've used my timberwolf on Caribou, seals and Narwhales.
