I picked up some military ? 30-06 brass with the headstamp IK 30-06. Can anyone tell me where this was made ? and does anyone know where I can find some more of this 1-fired brass ? Thanks

There is a posting on Internet saying that I K is Igman - like from Bosnia / Yugoslavia. Is also another posting that it is Berdan primed (not Boxer), and a third posting saying it was corrosive primed - so take that for what it is worth - Internet postings by "somebody", like this one ... I have various years of Hirtenberger 7.62 and also some Portuguese (?) 8x57 - it seems they swapped out Berdan versus Boxer primers (and, therefore the primer pockets / flash holes are different), and corrosive or not corrosive, as years went by,

Igman Kragujevac.
I remember it being sold in commercial packaging. I think it is boxer primed but check. Crimped primers?

FWIW: I fired off some 6.5 Swedish Igman and found that the flash hole is smaller than "standard". Nice enough brass, so I just drilled out the hole a wee bit.

Thanks for the replys. Yes it is Igman, Yes it is Boxer primed.and yes there is a mild crimp that is easy to deal with. So now all I need to know is where can I find some more 1-fired brass ??? Would appreciate hearing from anyone who has some or knows where there is some.

This ammo was sold under the Bell brand in a red and blue box. Still looking for some 1-fired brass with that IK headstamp
