Two dry fires on my brand new Kel-Tec SU-16 and my NC Star Tactical Red Dot sight, and it's borked. The dot, she is gone. I bought the thing, knowing it was junk that probably wouldn't last long, but I figured I'd at least get to dump some lead down range with it.

So, is the Lifetime warranty even worth the paper it's printed on? I presume even if I could get them to look at it, it'd cost more than I paid, so it's probably not worth the bother. I'll put it in my next garage sale for $5 as is. Or maybe I'll smash my head into the wall, and try to go for a refund from More Guns Supply (I bought it at the last Winnipeg Gun Show), the guy told me it'd handle the recoil of a shotgun, I guess the firing pin of a Kel-tec is more punishing than a 12 guage.

At least it wasn't a particularly expensive lesson, it didn't set me back much, nor did it fail at an inopportune time. Just sucks is all.

Chalk it up as a life lesson. Buy a decent optic. Mount decent optic on gun. Shoot piece of #### Ncstar scope with said gun with newly mounted decent optic. Smile.

After all the threads trashing More Guns Supply and NCstar you still bought from them?

I wouldn't even waste the gas driving to them or your breath. Don't pawn it off on someone else.

Yeah, I knowingly bought crap from a rip off artist, I kind of put myself behind the eight ball on that one.

The Sparc looks pretty decent, I'll have to look into it further.

with bushnell, vortex and a variety of other reputable manufacturers selling red dots with lifetime warranty (not to mention retailers with better return policies) for under $200, do your self a favor and spend once on a solid optic that will last

Find "an even better dealer" and get it for ~ $100 bucks. :D

i know you said you dont like iron much, but a good set are still afordable and they do fill the gap. they also will last the life of your gun and with a lil training and practice thier just as good as red dots for acuracy in my opinion. I preffer iron aposed to other optics when it comes to ARs with low to mid range shooting. premium irons $120-$250 premium scopes, red dots and holographic sight $500-as much as you can imagine.
