I know it is ugly, it do not belong there but... PIC

The Swedes use(d) A LOT of red dots (Aimpoint is Swedish!) on their moose runs.. They like it because it's fast to point on moving target, and since they hunt moose by driving them with dogs, they need to perform fast shots, usually at short distance.

The only ugly firearm is the one that doesn't shoot or group... Do what ya gotta do and who gives a chit what some think... It's your gun, your money and you won it legally...

Good job adding modern optics to this rifle without drilling and tapping!

I wish I had thought of that two years ago when I sold a very nice Swede M38 because I didn't really like the sights, but did not want to drill and tap.

have you considered microclick ghost rings instead of a red dot?

i have them on my M44 and the difference in performance compared to the original sights is night and day.

The mount is a cross mount, it come with 2 sets of screw, it is chinese and it will fit a .920, actually very sturdy quite surprised, that after 100+ rounds nothing have move, it could be found at Canadammoo and is inexpensive a nice discovery i think... JP.

Thanks!

It works, its accurate and performs the intended purpose - good! Pretty? No really, function and form are a great pair but if you can only hae one, function wins hands down.

You put a removable sight on a common rifle that was made en masse that are availbale for low prices from old depots...some guys go on like you just performed a blaze orange skullz camo dip on a matching pair or Boss game guns that were carried by royalty. Jeez guys....

It is certainly no more ugly than all the #### people stick on their SKS rifles, or the rifles and/or optics which people paint camo. We won't even discuss the use of spray on bed liner on firearms either.
