So I had the front sight on my Marlin 1895 replaced with a Williams "Firesight" because my crappy eyes could not see the original one very well. I decided it might be a good idea to drill a hole on the top of the sight hood to let more light in, which should make the sight even brighter.
After trying to drill a hole in the hood, I realized I have a lot to learn about metal LOL. I could not even make a scratch in the metal with my regular bits or my Titanium coated bits.
Lucky for me, I have a buddy who is a machinest, and after he stopped laughing at me, he drilled the hole for me with if I remember correctly, a cobalt bit.
So much to learn..... so little time.
