I had a big bucket of primed and belled .45acp brass on my living room table when the roof decided to give up during a rainstorm ( I currently live in an apartment) and fill my bucket of prepped brass (as well as half my living room) with water delightfully filtered though whatever the attic has in it. I rinsed the brass clean, tried a couple pieces and the primers didn't go off, having waited a few days now, I just tried some and it looks like they are going to be just fine. Thank goodness for that!

Contrary to gun myths, water/oils does not always render primers inert. I'd set those aside for plinking use only if you happen to shoot competitions.

^^^^^this, nor does it render powder inert either...love to wet some black powder in front of friends, let it dry and fire it up
