I made my first fire formed cases yesterday. It's a .257 Roberts AI and I will be doing a more in depth post once I get out with a chrony and a scope on the rifle. I just got it back in the mail yesterday and had to fire off a few to see what the cases would look like.

Thanks. It is/was a Savage Model 111 (.270) and I bought a Shillen Select Match barrel from Juan Valdez and a Timney trigger from Mystic. I also bought a new Accustock from Savage for it and shipped it off to Mystic to put together, bed and time the bolt. I think it's going to be sweet.

I had my 257 Roberts built by Bevan several years ago with the thought that down the road I'd get it opened up to 257AI or 25/06. I never did that.

Threads like this get me thinking again. :)

Here's a link to a Handloader article I found online that states the .257AI can reproduce 25-06 velocities. Link
