I've only been a member a few weeks now and love all the info in the forum's.

I'm excited to learn more about the hobby as it is a past time for my family and friends who target shoot, hunt and collect. I started a bit late but better late than never!

I recently just started a transfer to acquire a hand gun from a private seller in NB (I'm in ON) and the process has already been about 2 weeks and still pending. Is this normal? I just ask as the seller is getting impatient and it's out of my hands...

I'm excited to read, learn more and become part of the community.

Cheers!

Welcome to CGN, yes the timeline on the restricted is normal.

Join the Equipment Exchange here & hide your credit card.

Welcome!

Ontario in particular takes a long time for transfers. 2 weeks is commonplace, and there is currently a large backlog of AR15 transfers going through due to the fear created by the rumors of a pending ban. I wouldn't be surprised if it took 3-4 weeks due to the backlog. Just hold tight, it'll happen soon and the seller should be able to realize the whole thing is outside both of your control.

Thanks for the advice.

I currently dont have access to the equipment exchange forum. I'm guessing because I'm new with little activity yet.

In due time I guess

I figured as much as I was told as much. If it does take any longer I'm certain he will cancel the transfer...

He's an older fella who is used to the 24-48hr transfers which I'm sure is common place in NB

As ironheart said, you have to apply to get access to the EE...
